This study aimed to investigate the role of social support and life satisfaction in academic burnout. The research method was correlation. From Islamic Azad University of Tehran, 393 students selected by cluster sampling method and responded to Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS, Schaufeli et al., 2002), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS, Diner et al., 1985) and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (Zimet et al., 1988). Data were analyzed using regression analysis. The results showed that social support (β = -0.131, P≥0.020) and life satisfaction (β = -0.229, P≥0,000) had a significant and inverse effect on academic burnout. The findings also showed that Social support and life satisfaction explained 14% of the variance in academic burnout. According to the findings, academic burnout decreases with increasing social support and life satisfaction. Therefore, supporting student by family, friends, and the educational environment, as well as strategies that increase life satisfaction, can reduce students' academic burnout, which is an important factor in dropout.

The main purpose of this study was a comparative study of the level of attention to process skills in the first to third grade science textbooks of Iran and Russia in 1399-1400. It is a descriptive research of content analysis. The statistical population of the study consists of all the books "Experimental Sciences" of Iran and "The World Around Us" in Russia in the first, second and third grades. The tool of book content analysis was a researcher-made checklist of process skills and the results were analyzed based on George Brady's model in four stages of description, interpretation, proximity and comparison. The results showed that in the Iranian elementary science textbooks, the components of comparison and classification, skill of using tools and communication skills are more emphasized. In Russian science textbooks, more attention has been paid to the components of observation, prediction, estimation, interpretation of findings and conclusions. The results also show that the components of discovering and establishing numerical relationships, hypothesizing, measuring skills and conducting research in both countries have received less attention. Analysis showed that the level of attention to process skills is low compared to the volume of book content in the elementary science textbooks of both countries. Thus, it is necessary to pay more attention to the components of process skills in compiling textbooks in the two countries. It is suggested that in Iran, lesson topics be related to daily life activities. Also, in Russia, the topic of conversation and communication should be considered.

The present study aimed to analyze the content of elementary school social studies textbooks based on Webster's wisdom theory in order to assess students' readiness to face with the world affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This research was fundamental in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of nature. The statistical population included third to sixth grade social studies textbooks. In order to collect data, the Census method was used. The unit of analysis was the pages (text, chapter titles, image, questions or activities). The research tool included a checklist based on the five dimensions of Webster's theory (2007). Findings showed that in designing social studies books, only the dimension of openness to experience has been considered enough; While the dimension of humor and reviewing memories and reflection has been neglected in almost all grades, and emotional regulation has not received much attention in other grades except in the third grade. Attention to the dimension of challenging experiences was appropriate at other levels except the fourth grade. Shannon entropy represented a high information load for all dimensions and special attention to the components of memory review and reflection, emotional regulation and challenging experiences. The results of the research showed that filling the gap between the elementary grades in terms of wisdom dimensions and designing the content of books in order to cultivate wise, innovative and empathetic students to live in the current turbulent world is a great mission for educational institutions that it has been neglected somewhat.
