The aim of this study is to present a structural sample to forecast school anxiety according to a perception of the classroom environment with the mediation of coping styles in students. The research method is descriptive- correlational. The statistical society under study consists of all female students in second grade of high school at public schools in Tehran who were educating in 1395-96 educational year. Multistage Cluster Sampling method has been used in this study. This sample includes 480 female students in second grade of high school in Tehran. These students answered the Perception of Classroom Environment made by Fraser, Fisher and McRobie’s questionnaire (1996), Coping Styles of Andler and Parker (1990) questionnaire, school anxiety questionnaire by Abolma’ali & et al (1994). To analyze data and answer the study questions, structural equations modeling method was used which was studied to examine the casual relationship among latent variables. The results revealed that all of the seven components of perception of class environment (correlation, teacher support, class involvement, research, task orientation, cooperation, equanimity) with all of the four components of school anxiety (exam stress, fearing self-assertion and physiological reaction) were negatively correlated in 0.01 level. Also, a problem-focused style, negatively, and avoidance coping style and emotional coping style, positively, correlated with all of the four components of school anxiety at 0.01 level. Likewise, the results indicate that perception of classroom environment forecasts academic anxiety in female students with the mediation of coping styles.

This article is intended to identify the causes of the trainee’s reduction in private vocational and technical institutes. According to the purpose, an exploratory mixed research method was selected as the appropriate method of research. The research method consists of two qualitative and quantitative steps. In the qualitative stage, the data were collected using thematic analysis and conducting targeted and in-depth interviews with 20 experts in technical and vocational education. Then, with the initial coding and the definition of the main and sub-themes, Factors affecting the reduction of trainees in private technical and vocational institutes were identified. In the quantitative stage, a questionnaire was set up based on the results of the first stage interviews. The statistical sample at this stage was 270 managers and founders of private technical and vocational institutes in East Azarbaijan province. Data was collected through a questionnaire categorized using exploratory factor analysis. That way, the effective factors on the reduction of trainees were re-identified. The results of exploratory factor analysis were in line with the results of Thematic Analysis. The results of both qualitative and quantitative methods indicate that institute factors (physical resources, human and finance resources, educational programs and educational marketing), organizational factors (content, policy, support, evaluation) and environmental factors (competitors, labor market, community culture, laws and government policies) are three major factors affecting the reduction of trainees in private technical and vocational institutes.

Web-based tools and applications that have the potential to increase motivation and interaction among learners have attracted a lot of attention in the English language learning community. One of the newest web-based technologies used for educational purposes is Moodle, a virtual learning environment with open source. Considering the importance of technology in general and the rarity of studies on the use of Moodle in Second Language Education, this paper examines the impact of second language teaching with the help of Moodle on the ability to understand Iranian learners. For this purpose, in this study, a sample of 46 students of the English language school in one of the Islamic Azad University units in Iran was used as research subjects. In line with the purpose of the research, the students of the experimental group (25) received a combination of learning, in which the Moodle was added to in-class education, while the control group students (21) trained only in the same traditional method of in-class education. This study was conducted over a semester for 16 weeks. Statistical analysis of the data indicated that the comprehension function of the experimental group at the end of the period was better than the control group. These findings could have remarkable theoretical implications for teaching English as a second language.
