This study aimed to investigate the effect of internal control systems on the intensity of organizational performance and innovation with a moderating role of transformational leadership. The research method was Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and the statistical population included all employees of Tehran Payame Noor University in 2022 where 301 people were randomly selected and completed questionnaires. For data collection, the researcher-made questionnaire was used with acceptable reliability and validity. The findings showed that internal control systems have a significant direct and indirect impact on the intensity of organizational performance and innovation at an error level of 0<0.05. According to the findings of this study, it can be said that transformational leadership has a moderating role in internal control systems and impacts the intensity of organizational performance and innovation.
