Abstract The integrated approach of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) has been introduced in order to create a new development in the effective teaching of science and its relationship with daily life in recent years. The present study was designed to investigate the effect of this approach on attitudes and academic achievement. The study population consisted of ninth grade female secondary school students in Qarchak city in the academic year 2020-2021 and the convenience sampling consisted of 143 people who were selected by random sampling in two groups of control and experimental. The Students in the experimental group were educated in solar energy for 7 sessions (each session: 35 minutes) with a STEM based approach. Covariance analysis and independent t-test showed that teaching science with the STEM based approach increased students' attitude in STEM and had a significant effect on their learning in science. Also, according to Pearson correlation test, there is a significant correlation between attitudes in STEM and academic achievement.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to prediction of academic achievement and self-efficacy based on parenting styles of high school students of Tajikistan Dushanbe city. The study design was descriptive correlational type and the study statistic population included all high school students in the 2012-2013 first semester in Dushanbe city with the quantity of 10000 which through them 300 subjects from 6 schools who were eligible to enter the study, were selected via multistage sampling. The study tools were Baumrind Parenting Styles Questionnaire (1990), Sherer, Maddux, Mercandante, Prentice- Dunn, Jacobs’s et al. General Self-Efficacy Scale (1982) and means of students. The results showed authoritative parenting styles (β=0.508, P=0.001), authoritarian parenting style (β=-0.132, P=0.016), and permissive parenting style (β=-0.135, P=0.001), predict academic achievement. The results showed authoritative parenting styles (β=0.405, P=0.001), authoritarian parenting style (β=-0.321, P=0.001), and permissive parenting style (β=-0.113, P=0.001), predict self-efficacy. Based on these results, development of effective educational programs and family counseling methods to enhance the achievement of the best parenting style and self-efficacy among families is recommended.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the intermediate role of progress goals in relation between the structure of the educational system and academic achievement of students. The population of the study consisted of all students of technical and engineering colleges of 5 universities in Tehran. A random sample of 400 students was selected as the research sample. The instruments used in this study are the Meggliidal Classroom Object Structure Questionnaire and the Elliotomaggregate Progression Objectives Questionnaire. To measure the academic achievement of students, the average of all students in the past is used. Research data from the structural equation model examined the research hypothesis. The results of the research show that the target structure with complete mediation of the goals of the progression explains 23% of the changes in the academic achievement of the students, and according to the objectives of the approach-functional progression, the goal-oriented approach-functional structure, the dominant goal structure, the goals of the approach-mastery progress, the goals Achievement-Avoidance Progress, Avoidance-Performance Progress Objectives, and Avoidance-Functional Objective Structure, explain the student's academic achievement. Given the more perceptions of the functional target structure in students and their functional targeting, it is suggested that planning for a higher education structure is based on the mastery of the target structure in order to increase the level of commitment to learning by guiding students towards the goals of mastery progression

Abstract This research was conducted with the aim of educational variables in academic achievement of postgraduate students of faculty of psychology and educational sciences. This research is applied in terms of its purpose and in terms of the causal-comparative method and in terms of the general approach. Based on the variables of the selection method (teaching and research-based) and the research bachelor (related and non-related), there are two groups based on the periods of study (daily, night and half-day) and the academic term (first, second and third). The statistical statistic of this research was all students of postgraduate, post-nursing and seminary courses in the fields of psychology and counseling of Allameh Tabataba’i University who were studying in the academic year of 90-89. To describe the descriptive, mean, standard deviation and standard line of independent estimation and one way analysis of variance, t-mean was used for descriptive indexes. According to research hypotheses, the role of educational variables in the academic achievement of postgraduate students of faculty of psychology and education used. The results showed that although there was no significant difference in academic achievement of students in day, night and semi-day courses, the average of academic performance of masters students was higher than that of nursing students and nursing students, and semantic academic performance was higher than nocturnal.
