The effectiveness of the combined mindset change-motivational program on the sense of belonging to the school and academic procrastination of female bully students

Abstract Objective: A high sense of belonging to the school and a low level of procrastination can protect against the risk of bullying and victimization. In this way, this research was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the combined mindset change-motivational program on the sense of belonging to the school and academic procrastination of bullied female students.
Methods: The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a follow-up period with a control group. The research community was formed by female secondary school students in Isfahan in 2022. From the mentioned society, 30 students were selected purposefully and randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups. The pre-test was done through the Brew et al sense of belonging to school questionnaire (2004) and Solomon and Rothblum academic procrastination questionnaire (1984). The experimental group received 8 90-minute sessions of the combined mindset change-motivational program. Finally, the post-test and a three-month follow-up were implemented. Data analysis was done using variance analysis with repeated measurements.
Results: There is a significant difference between the sense of belonging and academic procrastination in the two groups in the post-test and follow-up stages, that is, the integrated program of mindset change-motivational has been able to cause a lasting improvement in the sense of belonging and academic procrastination of the bully girl.
Conclusion: Based on the results, this program can be used as an effective intervention to help bullied female students and improve their sense of belonging and academic procrastination.
Study of Relationship between Basic Psychological Needs in Relation to Sense of Connectedness with School in Secondary High School Students: The Mediating Effect of Social Self-Efficacy

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between basic psychological needs and the sense of connectedness with School with the role of social self-efficacy mediators in secondary high school students. The research method was descriptive- correlational. The statistical population of the study consisted of all secondary high school students in mashhad in the academic year of 1397-98. The sample consisted of 369 students (boys and girls) selected by multistage cluster sampling. the tools of this study included the satisfaction psychological needs scale in relationship (La Guardia, Ryan, Couchman, & Deci, 2000), the Adolescents' Social Self-efficacy Questionnaire (Connolly,1989), and the sense of connectedness with School questionnaire (Brew, Beatty, and Watt , 2005). Data were analyzed using pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling. The results of the path analysis showed that there is a direct and significant effect between satisfying the basic psychological needs of teachers with social self-efficacy and the sense of connectedness with School. So that the basic Psychological needs and social self-efficacy account for 55 percent of the change in the sense of connectedness with School. Students social self-efficacy seems to play a mediating role in relation to basic Psychological needs and the sense of connectedness with School.
Comparison of educational vitality, feeling of belonging to the school, the motivation of academic achievement among male and female students of secondary schools in Ilam

Abstract The purpose of this study was to compare male and female students based on the variables of academic vitality, sense of belonging to the school, the motivation for academic achievement. The causal-comparative research method and The statistical population of the study is all male and female students of secondary schools in the city of Ilam in the academic year 1395-1396 and the sample size was determined by the Crecy and Morgan table, and 374 students were enrolled. Of these, 187 are boys and 187 are girls. The sampling method was applied to multimodal cluster sampling according to the educational areas of Ilam city, which completed the Humphrey Humor Achievement Motivation (2000) and Hussein Chari and Dehghanizadeh (2012) Dimensions of feelings of belonging to the Brave and Betty School (2005). Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used to analyze the data. The results of this study showed that there was a significant difference between male and female students of secondary schools in Ilam in terms of belonging to peers, teacher support, school justice, school communication, academic participation, and academic achievement motivation and academic vitality. So, the variance of social cohesion, 1.2% of the variance of peers, 2.1% of the variance of teacher support, 2.7% of the variance of justice in school, 1.4% of the variance of communication in school, 0.9% of the variance of scientific participation, 4 / 7% of the variance of academic achievement motivation explained 1.3% of variance in academic vitality and female students were compared to male students Lamps are above a relative advantage.
